Unity Project

Outward Bound Atlanta’s contract program curriculum partners us with local school districts to support student success by innovatively engaging them in their learning – both inside and outside of the school walls.

In addition, we work with educators from our partner schools, ensuring that they have the tools to supplement the gains that students achieve through their challenging work with OBA.

Team

Team buffers the transition from elementary to middle school for 5th grade students by using a low elements ropes course to teach them how to communicate effectively, accept others, make positive and difficult choices and understand the value of perseverance.

Transitions

Transitions is a year long program that lays the groundwork for successful matriculation into high school for 8th grade students by focusing on leadership development, compassion, appreciation of diversity, moral courage, and pride.

Endure

Unity Project

Endure supports students in their first year of high school and focuses on endurance, moral courage and perseverance utilizing a high-elements ropes course and subsequent learning activities.

Lead

Lead focuses on the full development of tenth grade students. Students travel to the mountains of North Carolina for a four-day expedition, which equips them with the skills necessary to make sound career decisions that match their academic competencies with real life academic and vocational opportunities.
